11 Transmit

VBS3Fires application has provided panels for you (FO) to quickly,

- Transmit your location (locstat)

- Transmit call-for-fire

11.1 Send Locstat

FOs need to transmit their location to the batteries when following call-for-fire procedures. For

example it is advised to send your location to use polar or laser polar missions. Also FOs should be

able to send virtual locations. The FO will physically be in a certain location but virtually in another

grid position.

Send Locstat panel help you to send your location/ virtual location.

To open this panel, go to: Menubar  Transmit  Send Locstat.

To send your location you need to enter following details:

1. Select the Callsign of the Battery/ battalion from the dropdown list

2. Select the Callsign of the FO (your callsign is selected by default) from the dropdown list

3. Enter your Grid Position (actual or virtual). You can type the grid reference to the text box or

use the (From Map button).

4. Click (Transmit button).
