4. In the VBS Side Chat section select the Side Chat check box.
5. Click Apply. Now the trainees can see radio transmissions on their VBS3 screen.
10.1.4 File Save Location of Radio Log
The content of the Radio Log is saved in the following location of VBS3Fires Directory,
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\VBS3\Simcentric\Fires.
This is a text file which consists transmissions of a particular VBS3 training scenario. The content of
this file will be cleared when,
- VBS3Fires application is re-launched
- “firesconnectInprogress” script command is run from the VBS3
10.2 Types of Radio Nets
In VBS3Fires application you can use two types of radio nets, Manual and Automatic.
10.2.1 Manual Radio Nets
You have to manually create a radio net and save it as “radioNets.dat”. You can use text editor
software or the Radio Net Configurator panel of VBS3Fires to create one.
Creating manual radio nets is thoroughly described in the VBS3Fires Scenario Design section of this
user guide. Please refer Defining Radio Nets, Radio Net Configuration file, VBS3Fires Radio Net
Configurator and Default Radio Net Structure sub sections.
To use an automatic radio net you should fulfill two steps before you start the training scenario:
