This sub panel helps you to connect trainees that are of a different network.

Trainees can be connected by specifying their IP address. To do this, type the desired trainee’s IP

address (complete with decimal points) into the IP Address text box. Then click Connect If the IP

address can be found, the corresponding trainee terminal will be connected to your Instructor

terminal.

8.2.2 Connecting Trainee terminals to Instructor terminal

In general, connections between Instructor terminal and Trainee terminal should be made before

the VBS3 scenario starts.

The instructor should never disconnect and then reconnect a trainee during a live mission. This will

result in the severing of communication between the Instructor terminal and the Trainee terminal.

If this occurs, the trainee must call the script command: “call firesConnectInProgress” to connect to

the Instructor terminal. To do this, in VBS3 go to: Menubar  Developer Console

This table displays trainees that are of any VBS3Fires versions. However, you may only

connect those Trainee terminals that are of the same VBS3Fires version as the Instructor terminals.
