Caring for Quartz Countertops
GENERAL USAGE ADVICE
To maintain the look of your Quartz countertops, we recommend routine cleaning and maintenance.
Clean up spills immediately with mild soap and warm water and a soft cloth.
While Quartz material is heat resistant, it is not heat proof. Do not expose to direct heat from hair
styling products or any direct transfer of heat as this may cause damage. The use of a trivet is always
recommended.
Quartz is a durable material though, too much force with sharp or heave objects can lead to scratches or
chipping. Avoid exposure to, and impact with, sharp or heavy objects, especially around the edges.
Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals such as bleach, chlorine, products with a pH greater than 10, acid,
oxidizers, paint strippers, water-repellants, polishes, cleaning products with a mineral content, or
acetone.
ROUTINE CLEANING
Wipe clean with a soft cloth or sponge dipped in a mild soap and water solution. Only use cleaning
products that are made specifically for Quartz countertops. Only use bleach-free disinfectant wipes and
always rinse with a sponge or wet towel afterwards.
To remove stuck on dirt or material, use a putty knife to gently scrape off.
REMOVING TOUGH STAINS
For greasy stains, use a warm, soapy solution, cleaner or bleach-free degreaser product.
For stubborn stains, use an adhesive remover, like Goo Gone and a wet cloth to rub away the stain.
Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol applied with a wet cloth can also be used to clean any tough stain that soap
and water cannot remove.
LIMESCALE AND HARDWATER STAINS
Use cleaning vinegar and a damp sponge. If the stain persists, you can use a limescale remover that has
been diluted with water. Never leave it on for more than 2 minutes. Repeat the process if necessary.
Rinse with plenty of water and dry with paper.
SILICONE & PUTTY STAINS
We recommend you remove the stains as soon as they appear. Apply a silicone remover. Then, with a
knife held horizontally, scrub with a sponge. Afterwards, rinse with plenty of water then thoroughly
wipe dry with a clean towel.
