4/5 PRESSURE TEST
Objective: Perform air in water pressure test.

› Install male adapter to both hot and cold water inlet. Figure 4.1
› Connect female air supply adapter to installed male adapter. Figure 4.2
› Install plugs on north and south side outlet ports. Figure 4.3
› Turn on air supply.
› Submerge thermal body into 6 inches of water. Figure 4.4
› Rotate check stops in a 360 degree rotation from ON to
OFF, from OFF to ON positions. Figure 4.5
› Monitor entire valve for leaks, if no leaks are present valve
is in compliance. Remove from water.
› Turn off air supply, remove male and female adapters.
Remove north and south plugs.
› Using compressed air, blow out excess water from thermal
cartridge and stop lock nut, water inlet/outlet, and from
check stops and lock nut locations. Figure 4.6

Note: If thermal valve body is in non-compliance
status, body must be destroyed by drilling holes
in the base at the center of the check stop
housing. Figure 5.1
Then place on non compliance shelf.
