SettingupYourWindowsLiveMessengerAccount
Youneedto havethee‐mail address and passwordofyour existing Windows Live
MessengeraccountinordertosetupthisaccountonyourOgo.
► TosetupaWindowsLiveMessengeraccount:
1 Ifyouselect WindowsLiveMessenger asthe IMProvide r intheSetupWizard
or in the IM tab of the Settings screen, the Windows Live Terms of Use are
displayed.
2 Beforeyouconfiguretheaccount,youmustacceptthetermsofuse.Readthe
terms of use. Then select Accept to indicate your agreement and press
Enter/Select. If you do not agree to the terms, select Decline and press
Enter/Select.TheWindowsLiveMessengerSetupscreenisdisplayed.
3 In the E‐mail Address field, insert the E‐mail Address associated with the
Windows Live Messenger account you want to add. If you are using a
hotmail.com,msn.comorlive.come‐mailaddress,you donotneedtoinclude
thedomainname.
4 If you want to change the domain name currently displayed, select the
required domain (@hotmail.com; @msn.com; @live.com or Other) and press
Enter/Select.
5 InthePasswordfield,insertyourpassword.
Note: The letters are displayed one at a time as you insert them; upon
inserting the next letterthe previouslyentered one ismasked withan
asterisk.
6 Select Remember my password checkbox if you want your password to be
storedon your Ogo. A securitytip willbe displayed.If you prefer not to have
thepasswordstoredonyourOgo,youwillbeaskedtoinsertiteachtimeyou
sign‐in.
Note: If you select Yes, a security warning is displayedadvising you to go to
the.NETpasswordwebsiteandchangeyourpasswordintheeventthat
yourOgoislostorstolen.PressEnter/Selecttocontinue.
7 Toautomaticallysign inwhenever yourOgo isturnedon, selectSigninwhen
poweredonandpressEnter/Select.
Note: ThisoptionispartoftheIMSettings,andcanalsobemodifiedlater
8 SelectOKandpressEnter/Select.
TheIMaccountsetupprocessiscomplete.
If you add the account from the Settings screen, the IM tab of Settings is
displayed.TheEditbuttonisdisplayedintherowfortheIMprovider.
