2. SAFETY
Installation Instructions
1. Determine the approximate center of
gravity, or if one side is heavier than
the other. To do this, set the air
conditioner on the ground. Partially lift
each side (left and right, not front and
back) to determine if the weight is
centered, or if the right or left side
is heavier.
2. Measure the length of the window
frame opening where the air
conditioner will sit. Divide the length
of the window frame in half, and make
a mark directly in the center with
your pencil.
3. Place the center of concave block (A)
over the mark, on the window frame,
against the window ledge. Set the
rounded spacer (B) on top of the
concave block (A). Move the two
blocks together in a straight line
directly away from the window ledge
until the top of the rounded spacer
while resting on top the concave block
is even with the ledge. If the blocks are
even with the ledge, you can leave
them positioned against the ledge.
NOTE: If your air conditioner has an
adjustable window panel that goes in the
window opening, make sure to position
the concave block (A) and rounded
spacer (B) so that the window panel has
room to fit between them. If the air
conditioner support touches the window
frame, add ONE flat spacer (C).
4. If the weight of the air conditioner was
evenly balanced, you can leave your
mark directly in the center of the frame.
However, if the weight was heavier on
either side, make a new mark three
inches (3") in the direction of the
heavier side.
5. Using the 5/32" drill bit, drill a hole
where your final mark position ended
up, two inches (2") into the window
frame. Then, use the drill to secure the
concave block (A) with the short
screw (D) to the frame.
NOTE: Make sure that your window
frame is not hollow or filled with foam —
these will not allow the air conditioner
support bracket to properly hold your
air conditioner’s weight. If you need to
drill down further than two inches to
reach solid material, make sure to do so.
6. Make sure that the support body (E)
will clear any obstacles on the
windowsill (such as raised edges of the
window frame, molding, etc.) using the
rounded spacer (B) and the concave
block (A). If not, use ONE flat spacer
(C) to add height. If the height is
slightly higher than the window ledge,
the weight will still hold.
