Yourmobilephoneisaradiotransmitterandreceiver.Itisdesignedandmanufacturednotto
exceed the emission limits for exposure to radiofrequency (RF) energy set by the Federal
CommunicationsCommissionoftheU.S.Government.Theselimitsarepartofcomprehensive
guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population. The
guidelines are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific
organizationsthroughperiodicandthoroughevaluationofscientificstudies.Thestandards
includeasubstantialsafetymargindesignedtoassurethesafetyofallpersons,regardlessof
age and health. The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs a unit of
measurementknownastheSpecificAbsorptionRate,orSAR.TheSARlimitsetbytheFCCis
1.6W/kg.*TestsforSARareconductedwiththephonetransmittingatitshighestcertified
power level in all tested frequency bands. Although the SAR isdetermined at the highest
certifiedpowerlevel,theactualSARlevelofthephonewhileoperatingcanbewellbelowthe
maximumvalue.Thisisbecausethephoneisdesignedtooperateatmultiplepowerlevelsso
astouseonlythepowerrequiredtoreachthenetwork.Ingeneral,thecloseryouaretoa
wirelessbasestationantenna,thelowerthepoweroutput.Beforeaphonemodelisavailable
forsaletothepublic,itmustbetestedandcertifiedtotheFCCthatitdoesnotexceedthe
limitestablishedbythegovernment adoptedrequirement for safe exposure.The testsare
performedinpositionsandlocations(e.g.,attheheadandwornonthebody)asrequiredby
theFCCforeachmodel.
ThehighestSARvalueforthismodelphonewhentestedforuseattheheadis0.954W/Kg
(simultaneoustransmissionscenariowithWi-Fi)andwhenwornonthebody,asdescribedin
thisuserguide,is1.233W/Kg((simultaneoustransmissionscenariowithHotspot).Whilethere
maybedifferencesbetweentheSARlevelsofvariousphonesandatvariouspositions,theyall
meet the government requirement for safe exposure. The FCC has granted an Equipment
AuthorizationforthismodelphonewithallreportedSARlevelsevaluatedasincompliance
