On. Bluetooth is turned on. Your phone can detect other Bluetoothenabled
devices,butnotviceversa.
Discoverable. Bluetooth is turned on, and all other Bluetoothenabled devices
candetectyourphone.
Off. Bluetooth is turned off. In this mode, you can neither send nor receive
informationus
ingBluetooth.
Notes: By default, Bluetooth is turned off. If you turn it on, then turn off your
phone,Bluetoothalsoturnsoff.Whenyouturnonyourphoneagain,youshould
turnonBluetoothagain.
Tips:Turn offBluetoothwhennotinusetoconservebatterypower,orinplaces
where using a wireless dev
ice is prohibited, such as on board an aircraft and in
hospitals.

6.1.4.1 USBTethering
You can tether your phone to your computer with a USB cable, to share your
phone’sinternetconnectionwithyourcomputer.
Windows XP contains the drivers you need to take advantage of USB tethering,
but you must install a configuration file before connecting your phone to your
Windows XP computer, to ins
truct Windows XP how to configure itself to use
thosedrivers.
Download the configuration file from http://www.android.com/tether#usb to
yourWindowsXPcomputer.
Use the USB cable that came with your phone to connect your phone to your
computer.
