Parts List
The Countertop Water Filter consists of the following parts:
1. Filter assembly with water supply tubing and spout;
2. Cartridge (s): The cartridge can be 5 ยต Sediment Cartridge;
Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge; Block Carbon Cartridge;
other Special Filter Cartridges; or combo of these cartridges.
3. A parts bag containing adaptors and gasket for the diverter valve.
.
Installation
1. Remove the aerator from the faucet. Usually you can take it off with
your fingers. If needed, use pliers. It's a normal "right hand"
thread. Remove by turning counterclockwise. Save the aerator. If you
move your filter later, you'll need it.

2. Install and tighten the diverter valve as follows.
a) For faucet with External threads: connect diverter directly to the faucet.
b) For faucet with Internal threads: use the adaptor and gasket to fit the
faucet, and then install diverter and adaptor.
3. Place the filter in the desired location on the countertop.
Operation Procedure
1. Open the COLD water faucet and adjust to a medium flow.
2. Turn the diverter knob to cross position (open) to direct water to the
filter.
3. Let the filter run for ten minutes to rinse the new cartridge and to drive
as much air as possible from the filter. New filters (and old filters with
newly replaced cartridges) hold much trapped air. Until the air is
expelled (which sometimes takes a couple of days), the filter will not
operate normally. You can drink the water, although it may appear
cloudy and water may continue to dribble from the spout after the unit
is turned off. Both conditions are the result of trapped air and will soon
go away.
4. When the container is full of filtered water, close the cold water faucet.
Then be sure the diverter valve has closed (knob downward).
5. Do NOT close the diverter knob while the cold water faucet is open.
Always close the faucet first, to prevent damage the diverter.
** Caution **
1. USE COLD WATER ONLY. DO NOT DIRECT HOT WATER INTO THE
COUNTERTOP FILTER.
2. THE FIRST TIME YOU USE THE FILTER, DISCARD THE FIRST 2-3
GLASSES OF FILTERED WATER.
