Air Intake Filters

When the air conditioner is operating, indoor air is l-
tered and reltered continuously trapping airborne dirt
and dust in the washable lter. e air intake lters
are removable for easy cleaning. A clean lter helps
remove dust, lint, and other particles from the air and
is important for best cooling and operating eciency.
Check the lter every two weeks to see whether it
needs cleaning.
1. Turn unit o.
2. Remove each air lter by grasping the top edge of
the lter frame and pulling each one up and out of
the unit.
3. Wash in hot soapy water, rinse and shake dry.
4. Replace the lter, with the front of the lter toward
you.
5. To dry the lter thoroughly, run your unit for a few
minutes in fan mode.

Routine Maintenance
Keep air intake lter clean.
• Coils should be inspected periodically for build-up
of lint, dirt, leaves, other debris, and bent ns.
• Clean coils with a so brush and compressed air or
vacuum. Do NOT use sharp objects to clean coils.
• e fan motors are permanently lubricated and do
not require servicing.
• In areas of heavy snow and ice accumulation,
snow and ice should not be permitted to accu-
mulate against the unit. As soon as practical aer
such inclement weather, clean snow and ice from
around the unit as much as possible.
