• Always wear ANSI Z87.1 compliant eye protection along with the welding helmet during use. The
front cover lens (front impact resistant plate) CAN BREAK and DOES NOT provide complete
protection against flying particles, splash, spray and splatter.
• Inspect lens before each use. Pitted or scratched lens plates reduce vision clarity, severely reduce
impact protection and should be replaced immediately to prevent injury.
• Not for use with Laser Welding Processes.
• Inspect the helmet before each use. Do not use if damaged. Replace worn parts before using.
• Not for use by children. Store helmet out of the reach of children.
Step 1. Tear off the protective film inside and outside the surfaces of the lens.
The filter screen is in a transparent and clear state, enabling a clear vision on the work piece. At the
start of welding, it AUTOMATICALLY changes the filter screen from clear to dark. The moment the
welding is complete, the filter screen AUTOMATICALLY changes from a dark to clear state. Adjust
the shade number knob under the weld mode, according to the welding current.
Step 2. Select the operating mode.
1. Weld Mode: Turn the dial clockwise from DIN9--DIN13 (shade number) on the left side of the
helmet (image below).
2. Grind Mode: Turn the dial to Grind Mode while the Weld Mode is turned off.
Step 3. Turn the dial to select the shade number.
1. Adjust the shade number from DIN9--DIN13 using the dial under the Weld Mode, according to
welding current and welding type.
