Wood chips are
getting jammed
between the
chisel and bit.
Chips are not properly clearing out of
the chisel.
(1) For end cuts, lift the chisel
periodically when drilling.
(2) Ensure the open side of the chisel
is facing an already drilled area.
(3) Reduce the cutting area and
increase the overlap on
subsequent holes.
