Always replace a damaged extension cord or have it repaired by a qualified person before using it.
Assembly Instructions 1. Place the chain clamping mechanism in the chuck (Fig. 3) and screw from underneath using the star screw (Fig. 4). 2. Before starting the chain sharpener, fasten it securely to a suitable surface (e.g., a work-bench) in a suitable place (protected against dust, dry, well-lit) using M8 screws and washers (Fig. 5). 3. Make sure that the mounting plate of the chain sharpener is pushed onto the surface as far as it will go (Fig. 6).
FOR SHARPENER Wear ANSI Z87.1 compliant safety goggles. Do not use grinding wheels that have a max RPM less than the marked RPM rating on the tool. Keep hands clear from grinding wheel during use. Electric shock hazard. Do not expose to rain or use in damp locations. Do not use for wet grinding. Do not use wheel if cracked or chipped. Not for use by or around children. a. Slacken the locking screw for setting the grinding angle. b. Set the desired grinding angle using the scale. c. Tighten the locking screw again. 3. Set the chain stopper (Fig. 9/10). a. Fold the chain stopper onto the chain. b. Pull the chain backwards against the chain stopper until the latter stops a cutting link. c. Fold the grinding head down until the grinding wheel is touching the chain link that is to be ground. 4. Set the depth limit (Fig. 10).
6. Grinding the chain links (Fig. 10/11). a. Before sharpening the saw chain, clamp it into the chain bar. This will prevent jamming of the grinding wheel caused by a loose saw chain. b. Slowly guide the grinding wheel to the saw blade. If the grinding wheel approaches the saw chain too quickly or jerkily, it may cause damage to the grinding wheel. Injuries may result from catapulting parts! c. Switch the appliance on at the ON/OFF switch. d.
Charging the Lithium Battery Pack The battery is protected from exhaustive discharge. An integrated protective circuit automatically switches off the equipment when the battery is flat. 1. Remove the battery pack from the handle, pressing the push lock button downwards to do so. 2. Check that your main voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate of the battery charger. Insert the power plug of the charger into the socket outlet. The green LED will then begin to flash. 3.
Maintain the product by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance in accordance with the following recommended procedures. It is recommended that the general condition of any tool be examined before it is used. Keep your tool in good repair. Keep all cutting tools sharp and clean.
