Inspect the tool for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use.
Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for use with your product.
Accessories that may be suitable for one product may create a risk of injury when used with
another tool. Never use an accessory that has a lower operating speed or operating pressure than
the tool itself.
Keep guards in place and in working order. Never operate the product without the guards in place.
Do not leave the tool running unattended.
Specific Operation Warnings
⚠WARNING
Wear eye protection.
Wear ear protection with impact drills. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
Use auxiliary handles supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
Hold power tools by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the cutting
tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Do not drill material too small to be securely held.
Always keep hands out of the path of the drill bit. Avoid awkward hand positions where a sudden
slip could cause your hand to move into the path of the drill bit.
Make sure there are no nails or foreign objects inside the workpiece to be drilled.
Always remove the plug from the power source before installing or removing a bit or accessory
from the chuck.
Do not install or use any drill bit that exceeds 7" (17.5 cm) in length or extends more than 6" (15
cm) beyond the chuck jaws. They can bend or break suddenly.
Always make sure the chuck is tight and the drill bit is firmly tightened in the chuck before starting
drill.
Before starting the operation, jog the drill switch to make sure the drill bit does not wobble or
vibrate.
Do not use fly cutters or multiple-part hole cutters. They can come apart or become unbalanced
during use.
Make sure the spindle has come to a complete stop before touching the chuck or attempting to
change the drill bit.
Grounding
⚠WARNING
This machine must be grounded while in use to protect the operator from electrical shock. This
unit is equipped with an electrical cord that has an equipment grounding conductor and a
grounding plug. The plug MUST be plugged into a matching receptacle that is properly installed
and grounded in accordance with ALL local codes and ordinances.
DO NOT MODIFY THE PROVIDED PLUG. If it will not fit the receptacle, have the proper
