Section 9: Saving Documents
The documents you process in Readiris can be saved to different destinations:
You can save them locally as file.
In this case the documents are simply stored on your computer and you can export and
share them later.
The pages that are opened in Readiris are saved into a single output file, except when you
select an image file as output format. In that case Readiris saves them as separate image
files.
You can open them in an application.
This is useful when text editing needs to be done. Once that's done you can save the
documents.
Note that the TextEdit application does not support complex layouts.
You can export them to an online Storage System.
Readiris exports documents to Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and
Box. Readiris Corporate also exports documents to Microsoft SharePoint.
To select a destination:
Click the down arrow in the Destination group.
Select Save locally or select an online Storage application.
Note that only the online Storage Applications you have already configured are
displayed in the list. To configure a new application, click the plus sign at the bottom of
the screen. See Saving Documents to online Storage Systems for more information.
Select the required Output Format from the list.
The formatting options you configured in the Format group are applied to the format
you select here. See Selecting the Output Format if necessary.
When you select Save locally, you can choose to simply generate the File or open your
document in an Application.
When you select Open in application, a default application that supports the selected
output format is proposed. To select a different application, click the application list
and then click Select Application. Browse for a compatible application and click Open.
