Improved User Interface
The Readiris interface has been improved. The top toolbar now contains separate Format and
Destination settings.

New OCR engine
In Readiris 15 I.R.I.S.' OCR engine DRS 15 is used, which leads to improved accuracy.
New Asian OCR engine
A new engine is used, which leads to better OCR results when recognizing Simplified and Traditional
Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and language combinations with those four Asian languages.
Multi-thread Processing
Readiris now uses Multi-thread Processing. Thanks to Readiris' multi-thread architecture, the
processing speed has been drastically improved.
New Activation Procedure
Each version of Readiris needs to be activated. The activation can be done during installation, when
starting the application or at any other moment (from the Help menu).
New Output Formats: E-pub and Audio
Save your documents as E-pub to view them on an eReader.
Save your documents in Audio to have the text read out to you.
