1. Welcome to Iqua Beat Thank you for purchasing the Iqua Beat wireless Bluetooth headset. Iqua Beat is your personal training solution. It will: • help you plan your workout program with the Iqua Beat iPhone application. • monitor your workout session progress. • give you immediate verbal feedback and encouragement helping you to stay on track with your workout targets and stay motivated.

4. Getting started 4.1. Downloading the Iqua Beat iPhone application Download the Iqua Beat application to your iPhone from App Store to use Iqua Beat for working out. Before you start using Iqua Beat for working out, define your initial settings and workout goals in the Iqua Beat iPhone application. For more information, see section 6.1 Before your workout. 4.2. Charging the Iqua Beat headset Before you start using the Iqua Beat headset, charge it fully for 3 hours.
4.3. Pairing the Iqua Beat headset and switching it on and off Pairing the Iqua Beat headset with your iPhone: Before you start, make sure that your iPhone’s Bluetooth setting is turned on. 1. With your Iqua Beat headset, go straight to the pairing mode by pressing the Power button for more than 4 seconds. The pairing mode activation is indicated by an audio notification and repeated double flashing of the blue indicator light. 2.
Switching the Iqua Beat headset on and off after pairing: Switch the Iqua Beat headset on or off by pressing the Power button for 2 seconds. Connection with your iPhone is activated automatically when the iPhone’s Bluetooth function is turned on. When you switch the Iqua Beat headset on, you will hear an audio notification welcoming you to Iqua Beat and telling you the current battery status. The yellow indicator will light up for 2 seconds.
5. Wearing the Iqua Beat headset 5.1. Adjusting the earpieces You can adjust the earpieces for a comfortable fit using: 1. Different sized earbuds 2. Clip extension in the earpiece Also note that you can adjust the length of the earpiece cable to suit your needs by using the cable spool.
5.2. Wearing the earpieces Earpiece goes in your left ear, earpiece your right ear. goes in The heart rate sensor is in the left earpiece. Make sure that the sensor is clipped firmly to your earlobe for good contact. 10 L Earrings may prevent you from wearing the ear pieces correctly.
5.3. Using the armband You can wear your Iqua Beat headset in several different ways: • Clip the headset and cable to your clothes. • Use the armband to carry your iPhone. • Use the armband to carry your Iqua Beat headset. • Use the armband to carry both your iPhone and the Iqua Beat headset. To carry your iPhone on the armband, slide it into the iPhone case bottom-first. Then stretch the soft top of the case over your iPhone to fit it securely inside the case.
1 Attach the armband to the iPhone case as shown in pictures 1 and 2. To wear the armband, simply tighten it around your arm. If the armband is not tight enough, slide your arm through the loop between the iPhone case and the armband and then tighten the armband around your arm as shown in picture 3.
6. Working out The Iqua Beat application is only available with iPhone. 6.1. Before your workout Before your workout, set up your profile in the Iqua Beat iPhone application. Based on your profile, the application will create a tailored workout for your level of fitness. You can also set your workout goals to get the most out of your workout. Set up your profile in the Iqua Beat iPhone application: 1.
2. Press Next. The above information is now used by the application to calculate your optimum heart rate and step length for working out. 3. The second view of the profile setup shows your optimum heart rate and step length calculations. Note that the application updates your optimum heart rate and step length calculations in case you make changes to your personal information. a. Check the optimum heart rate values calculated by the application.
Note that you can only change the step length values if you have GPS tracking switched off. Note also that for some activity types, the step counter uses a step length of zero no matter what step length value you enter. If you still want to track distance during your workout for these types of activities, switch GPS tracking on. d. Set whether or not you want to get audio feedback during your workout. By default, audio feedback is on. 4. Finish your profile setup by pressing Done.
Set your workout targets: 1. Press the button. 2. Choose your activity type from the selection wheel. Confirm by pressing Settings. Note that the step counter has different values for indoor and outdoor activities. For example, the step length is different if you compare using a stepper indoors and running outdoors. Remember to turn off your phone’s GPS when working out indoors. 3. Define your workout targets: a. Skip the workout target setting by choosing Not now, Thanks. b.
If the Iqua Beat headset is correctly connected with the application, the Start new workout button is active; otherwise the application will ask you to connect your iPhone with the Iqua Beat headset. You can modify your original profile settings later on via the Setup button. Here you can also do the following: • Switch heart rate limit off. • Define whether you want a male or female voice for your audio notifications. • Define whether or not you want to use GPS tracking during your workout.
6.3. During your workout The Iqua Beat headset can store up to 3 hours of workout data in one session. If your workout is longer than 3 hours, start a new workout after the first 3 hours and then combine the workout data in the Iqua Beat iPhone application later. During your workout, Iqua Beat provides you with verbal feedback and encouragement on your workout progress. Iqua Beat informs you if you go out of your optimum heart rate zone and tells you your workout duration every 15 minutes.
If the GPS tracking is turned off in the Iqua Beat application, the distance is calculated using the step counter of your Iqua Beat headset. You can pause your workout by pressing Pause in the Iqua Beat iPhone application. You will hear an audio notification through your earpieces to indicate a pause in your workout, and the red indication light will flash quickly. To continue your workout, press Resume in the Iqua Beat iPhone application.
When you start your workout, the Iqua Beat iPhone application is automatically locked: you can follow the Online View, but the application will not accept any commands caused by something accidentally touching the display. Unlock the application with the onscreen slider. Lock the application again by pressing the Lock button. Keep the Iqua Beat iPhone application open during your workout.
You will hear an audio notification through your earpieces when the workout stops. The red workout indicator light on your headset will also pulse quickly to indicate that your workout data is being transferred from the Iqua Beat headset to the iPhone application. The iPhone application will show an info message telling you that the workout results are being calculated. After your workout, use the Iqua Beat iPhone application to view, edit, and compare your workout statistics.
In the Workout Summary, you can also: 1. Change the workout date: tap the date area and change the date. 2. Change the workout type: tap the workout type icon and select a new workout type. 3. Publish your results on Facebook: press the Share on Facebook button, log in to Facebook and publish the results in your profile. 4. Delete your workout data from the Iqua Beat iPhone application: press Delete. Exit the Workout Summary view by pressing the Diary button.
By selecting Edit in the Workout Diary you can also delete, split, merge and compare different workouts. To delete a workout: 1. Select the workout you want to delete. 2. Press Delete. 3. Confirm the deletion by pressing Delete or cancel by pressing Cancel. To split a workout: 1. Select the workout you want to split. 2. Press Split. 3. Select the splitting point using the progress bar and press Split workout. To merge workouts: 1. Select the workouts you want to merge. 2. Press Merge. 3.
To compare workouts: 1. Select the workouts you want to compare. 2. Press Comp. The application will now show you a comparison of the selected workouts. Swipe the screen to move from one workout to another. Return to the Workout Diary by pressing Diary. Exit the Workout Diary by pressing the Home button. The Iqua Beat iPhone application’s Home Screen always shows your last saved workout. By selecting a workout, you can access the Workout Summary of that workout.
7. Other functionalities of your Iqua Beat headset 7.1. Music control You can use the Iqua Beat headset to listen to music stored in your iPhone. To play or pause music, swipe from left to right across the touch ring at any angle. To skip to the next track, run your finger around the touch ring clockwise for 90-180 degrees. To skip to the previous track, run your finger around the touch ring counter-clockwise for 90-180 degrees.
7.2. Volume control + You can control the volume of your music, workout audio or calls easily with the Iqua Beat headset. To increase the volume, run your finger around the touch ring clockwise for more than 360 degrees. To decrease the volume, run your finger around the touch ring counter-clockwise for more than 360 degrees.
7.3. Call control You can also use the Iqua Beat headset to control calls. 1X Press the multifunction button to: • Answer or end a call. • Hold the current call and answer a second call. • Switch between calls when you have multiple ongoing calls. Long press the multifunction button to: • Reject an incoming call. • End a call and switch to the next call when you have multiple ongoing calls. To activate your phone’s voice commands, press the multifunction button twice briefly.
8. Tips and support - Your training will automatically pause when you make or receive a call. If you wish to resume training during a call, simply open the app and press Resume. - You can close or shut down the application at any time during your workout – it will automatically catch up with your progress when turned back on. A slowly pulsing red light on the headset will indicate that training mode is switched on. - You can select a male or female voice for audio feedback.

10. Disclaimers Power Management This product is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery which can not be changed. Do not attempt to replace the battery. Rechargeable battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. After a period of time that will vary depending on the use and usage conditions you may find that the built-in battery will power your product for only a couple of hours requiring you to charge more frequently.
• Do not stick anything inside the device as this may damage internal components. • Do not dismantle the device or the charger as they do not contain serviceable parts and taking apart the device may expose you to dangerous voltages or other hazards. • Act according to your local rules and do not dispose of this product as part of your normal household waste. Follow the applicable separate collection system for electrical and electronic products.
How to get service for my IQUA product? If you believe that you are entitled to a repair or replacement of your IQUA product based on your statutory rights under the applicable national laws relating to the sale of consumer products or warranty given by the retailer who has sold the IQUA Product to you, please contact your retailer. 17. Governing Law and Venue. This EULA shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington. The Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act, the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods and choice of law rules of any jurisdiction will not apply to the EULA.

IQUA reserves the right to revise this document at any time or to make changes to the product described within it without notice or obligation to notify any person of such revisions or changes.
