OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This section contains information on using the #9007 Mobile Uni-

versal Trailer Tester. (SMART MUTT®)

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTIONS:

The SMART MUTT® Mobile Universal Trailer Tester is a eet maintenance and

diagnostic aid for trailer electrical operations wired to North America style

congurations, including 7 round pin (tractor trailer) connections.

A. CONTROL KNOB (Fig. 2)

Knob activates all electrical test modes and circuits to be diagnosed.

• Manual Mode • Auto cycle Mode

• Warning Sound Bypass • Small Trailer LED Mode

• Individual Circuit Select

B. VOLTAGE INDICATOR (Fig. 2)

Shows battery supply voltage integrity.

Operating Voltage: 12 Volt Voltage Cut O: 11 Volt

C. GROUND INTEGRITY (Fig. 2)

Large green LED above control knob indicates ground status.

Ground Integrity is automatically veried when power is turned on.

D. AUTO CYCLE INDICATOR (Fig. 2)

Illuminates when Auto Cycle is engaged.

Auto Cycle mode cycles through all circuits in 5 second intervals in clockwise

rotation. To enter “Auto Cycle” mode, press indicator knob once and then a

second time to stop.

E. CIRCUIT INDICATORS (Fig. 2)

The small green LEDs illuminate or blink in testing phase.
