POWER TO TESTER WARNING INDICATORS:
VOLTAGE INDICATOR (Fig. 6)
• When the battery supply voltage drops to 9V or less, the MUTT® shuts down
power to all circuits and the Voltage Indicator ashes red.
• Charging and switching to an external power source is required to continue
testing.
REVERSED POLARITY INDICATOR (Fig. 6)
• Flashes when battery clamps have been reversed at the battery posts.
• Correcting polarity of the battery terminal clamps deactivates the warning.
• The MUTT® is internally protected from polarity reversal.
RED TRAILER WARNING INDICATORS
These signals indicate a fault.
OVERLOAD WARNING INDICATOR (PULSAR MODE) (Fig. 6)
• When the MUTT® confronts a constant amperage draw above 18 AMPs or
a direct short, the warning sounds and flashes.
• Voltage is cycled to the shorted or overloaded circuit in 3 second o in-
tervals to aid in diagnosing the extreme amperage draw. (This function is
comparable to an auto reset circuit breaker).
