REMOTE FUNCTIONS:
REMOTE PROGRAMMING
With MUTT® in the OFF position hold large button
(Fig. 4-2) of remote while simultaneously turning
the MUTT® power on. Release after 2 seconds. The
remote is now programmed.
HOW TO USE THE WIRELESS REMOTE
1. AUTO CYCLE
Press and release button #1 (Fig. 4-

)
and the SMART MUTT® will enter Auto
Cycle Mode where a circuit is powered for 6 seconds before the tester auto-
matically begins powering the next circuit in clockwise sequence.
2. NEXT CIRCUIT/ENGAGE/DISENGAGE
Press and release button #2 (Fig. 4-

) to power the next available circuit.
Repeat as needed.
3. CONFIRMATION INDICATOR
Red light illuminates to conrm that a button has been pressed, to indicate
battery remote power.
REMOTE MODE
• Follow steps 1-7 of Manual Mode sections prior to using remote.
• Pressing #1 button (Fig. 4-

) activates and deactivates Auto Cycle Mode.
• The #2 button (Fig. 4-

) cycles testing to the next circuit (clockwise).
NOTE: With each press of either button, the red light (Fig. 4-

) of the remote
illuminates, showing conrmation of button depression and battery integ-
rity. Inclement weather or nearby power transformers may cause reduction
in remote signal. The external antenna is attached on page 14 of this manual.
For these circumstances (refer to Fig. 5) the antenna can be inserted into the
MUTT® antenna jack (Fig. 2-H). It is recommended that the antenna is installed
upon set-up. (Fig. 5)
