Commission a nanoBTS

10. Select the required software versions. The software version number is described

by HWTe00s-vxxxxx

Where:

HWT indicates hardware type (nanoBTS model)

• 120 = Model 139/140

• 119 = Model 108/110

• 168 = Model 165

e indicates encryption algorithms

• a = A5/1 and A5/2 encryption algorithms

• b = A5/2 encryption algorithm only

• c = no encryption

00s indicates software type

• 001 = TRX software

• 002 = backhaul software

• 004 = bootcode software

Vxxxxx indicates software version and build number.

11. Select the Reinitialize BTS After Setting Current SW check box.

12. Click OK.

4.3 RF Planning with Network Listen

The Network Listen feature is used to aid frequency planning. It is controlled by BTS

Installer. When Network Listen is activated, the nanoBTS is placed in receive mode and

can be used to identify other nanoBTS, and monitor their power levels, frequency usage

and BCCH information.

1. Ensure that the new nanoBTS is selected in the BTS Status section, and then

click Listen. The Network Listen dialog is displayed.
