Call Behavior when Contact or Talkgroup Is Unavailable
When calling a contact or talkgroup that is unavailable, the application automatically records and
sends a voice message while you are pressing the PTT button. The message is sent as soon as you
release the PTT button. There is no review, discard, or re-record option.
NOTE: Requires the Integrated Secure Messaging feature to be enabled by your
administrator.
One-to-One (1:1) Calls
A contact is unavailable when their presence status is Offline or Do Not Disturb (DND), or if they are
temporarily not reachable due to loss of signal.
A voice message must be at least 3 seconds long; if it is shorter, the message is not sent, and you
receive an information message.
NOTE: When calling a contact that is temporarily not reachable due to loss of signal, the voice
message recording chirp can take up to 7 seconds.
