Nozzle Types and Components
Nozzle Position
The nozzle has a different position depending on the type of TR, as follows:
 GTR: the nozzle is located at the 270º (9:00 o’clock) position on the gantry frame.
The weight of the nozzle is significant and is offset on the gantry by the use of
a counterweight located at the 90º (3:00 o’clock) position on the gantry frame.
Nozzle Types
The Pencil Beam Scanning (PBS) Dedicated Nozzle is installed in each TR offering the
PBS treatment mode.
