Select the desired type of request. The state in the colored state bar changes into :
Beam Requested: indicating that the room interlocks are not ready.
Beam Allocated: indicating that the room interlocks are ready. The beam will be
prepared automatically without any further intervention from your side.
Note: If the automatic beam preparation fails, a popup message appears (see
Figure 35-15). Press the Prepare button from the B
EAM PANEL of the EQUIPMENT
PREPARATION SCREEN to request the beam preparation manually.

To the right of the buttons two further indications about the beam allocation are
provided:
Allocated: indicates the treatment room to which the beam is currently
allocated.
Pending: this is the list of pending beam requests.
Note: When you request beam, the beam allocation will become visible on the
B
EAM PANEL only after the treatment room is secured, i.e., when the doors to the
treatment room have been closed.
When you secure the treatment room prior to requesting the beam, the allocation
will become visible immediately upon allocation.
Should you not be satisfied with the beam allocation, click Release beam to remove
your request from the queue.
At all times, you can click any of the following buttons:
Cancel request: to remove your beam request from the list.
Release beam: to release the beam that is already allocated to your treatment
room.
At the bottom of the screen the following indications are provided:
Scheduling mode: beam scheduling is performed from the Automatic Beam
Scheduling (ABS) panel of the Beam Operation Manager (BOM), which is
running in the Main Control Room (MCR).
The scheduling mode can be Automatic or Manual.
