If yet another treatment beam (Tx
2
) is necessary, the adjusted Setup beam (S
1
plus
Δ) is taken as a basis, NOT the adjusted previous treatment beam (Tx
1
plus Δ).
An Adjusted Setup Beam followed by multiple sets of
Treatment Beams
If a Setup beam (S
1
) and one (Tx
1
) or more (Tx
2
) treatment beams are followed by
another Setup beam, the original adjusted Setup beam (S
1
plus Δ) is again taken as
a basis for a potentially following treatment beam (Tx
3
). That basis, again, can also
have its own adjustments (hence S
1
+ Δ’).
Entering Corrections
The Patient Position Verification System (PPVS) (i.e., adaPTinsight) is used to perform
the correction vector calculation.
For a detailed description on how to use the PPVS system, refer to the following:
adaPTinsight: refer to Chapter 49, "Calculating Corrections Using adaPTinsight".
If the PPVS is connected to the PTS and configured to do it, the correction vector is
transmitted automatically. Else you can enter the computed values from the B
EAM
CORRECTION SCREEN.
