Preparing the Equipment for Treatment - PBS
Dedicated Nozzle
The EQUIPMENT PREPARATION SCREEN is composed of four panels.
Figure 35-6. Equipment Preparation Screen
PBS Dedicated Nozzle (Treatment Beam)
Each individual panel has a colored state bar. Initially, most of these colored state
bars are orange, indicating that some conditions exist that prevent you from
proceeding with the intended irradiation. You can only proceed to the actual
irradiation when all these colored state bar are green. To enable any given colored
state bar to become green you must eliminate any red cross marks that may exist on
that panel. It is acceptable to have some fields with an orange background on the
PMS Interface panel.
The panels are the following:
Nozzle: to control nozzle devices of the PBS dedicated nozzle; for detailed
information, refer to section “Verifying the PBS Dedicated Nozzle“ in this
chapter.
Position of devices: to manage positioning and alignment; for detailed
information, refer to section “Verifying the PBS Dedicated Nozzle“ in this
chapter.
Beam: to launch a beam request; for detailed information, refer to section
“Requesting Beam“ in this chapter.
