Modifying the Treatment Machine
Modifying the treatment machine of a given plan is possible for all patients
(regardless of the type), for plans with any plan intent (not specific to MACHINE_QA),
for all delivery techniques. However, in order for you to be able to modify the
treatment machine of a given plan, the plan needs to meet the following conditions:
The plan should be an internal plan (i.e., it has either been copied-pasted or
created from scratch using adaPTprescribe). This functionality is not available if
the plan was imported (using the Batch Importer, adaPTprescribe’s import
feature or the OIS).
The plan must not have been treated before (i.e., there is no treatment record
associated with the plan).
In order to modify the treatment machine of a given plan, proceed as follows:
1. From the list of patients, studies, plans and beams on the left of the screen,
select the plan for which you want to modify the treatment machine.
The details of the selected plan appear on the right of the screen.
2. Use the drop-down menu in the ‘Treatment Machine’ field to select the room in
which you want the plan to be delivered.
Note: After the treatment machine of a plan is changed, a series of checks is
performed. It may be the case that the plan is not valid for the room configuration of
the new treatment machine selected (e.g., changing from a GTR to a FBTR may
require to modify the gantry angle, or the snout position might become invalid if the
snout is different). It is your responsibility as a Radiation Therapy Technologist (RTT)
to consider the impact of changing the treatment machine of a plan.
