In addition, the panel indicates the inserted or extracted position of Flat panel A, Flat
panel B, and the retractable X-ray tube.

QUIPMENT PREPARATION SCREEN displays the following status indications on
accessories:
Note: In the case of treatment beams, these status indications indicate that the
devices are present and the indicators show the actual state of these devices. In the
case of Setup beams, these devices need not be present to proceed.
Ta b l e : if a couch is specified in the prescription, indicates that the proper couch
type has been installed.
Accessories drawer: the treatment plan identifies a number of accessories to
be used. In the case of the PBS dedicated nozzle, if an accessory is required, the
drawer must be in the beam path. If no accessory is required, the drawer must
be out of the beam path. A white background indicates that the drawer is in
position with regard to the prescription; otherwise the background is yellow.
Note: If you are preparing for treatment using a Universal Nozzle, the
accessories drawer option is grayed out on the screen as there is no drawer in
this case.
Snout accessories: the snout is equipped with a number of interlocks to ensure
safety. If all snout interlock safety signals are present, this field has a white
background; if any interlock signal is missing, the background is yellow.
‘Snout accessories’ is actually an interlock group name for the following
interlocks:
Compensator present
Compensator doors locked
Block present; depending on the snout type, multiple blocks can be
required. There is an interlock for each of them.

In addition, the E
QUIPMENT PREPARATION SCREEN displays the following status
indications:
No correction vector available: the correction vector needs to be computed
using the PPVS software; for detailed information, refer to Section “Entering
Corrections” on page 35-6.
Enter correction: the correction vector has been computed using the PPVS
software; you need to enter the computed values from the B
EAM CORRECTION
SCREEN.
