Finding a Patient
You can quickly find the required patient or list of patients by entering some find
parameters.
The options to find a patient are:
by name: fill out the name of the patient, in full or in part. You can use the
patient’s name, first name, initials, or any combination of these, but only in this
order.
by ID: fill out the ID of the patient in full or in part.
Click Find. The corresponding list of patients appears, sorted alphabetically on the
last name.
Figure 31-10. Find Criteria and Patient List
Note: To search for a patient with a partial entry of the patient name, the search is
performed on any individual part of the name, i.e., first name, middle name, or
surname.
If the desired patient does not appear in the patient list, either retry with different find
criteria, or click All to display the list of all patients.
Note: Be aware that the patient list displays both patients and QA patients.
To ensure that the latest information on the selected patient is on display, click
Refresh to update the information in the list area.
