LOCKING THE APPLIANCE
When the appliance is locked, you cannot operate the buttons.
1. Push and hold the eco/lock button for three seconds. A beep sounds and the function indicator for ‘locked’ is on.
The display shows the current time or ‘0:00’.
2. Repeat the procedure to unlock the appliance. A beep sounds and the display no longer shows the function
indicator for ‘locked’.
USING THE MUTE FUNCTION
During mute function, the appliance does not sound a buzzer and the push buttons are silent.
1. Push the kitchen assistant button four times. The display shows ‘AS-4’.
2. Push the start button to confirm the mute function.
3. Repeat the procedure to deactivate the mute function.

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
Warning:
Make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the mains supply.
Caution:
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp scrapers.
1. Clean the inside of the appliance after every use. Use a damp cloth.
2. Clean the accessories. Use soapy water and dry the accessories after cleaning.
Note:
You can also clean the accessories in a dishwasher, except the combi crisp plate.
3. Clean the outside of the appliance. Use a damp cloth.
4. Use the deodorization function to remove bad smells from the appliance. Refer to section
'Using the
deodorization function'

5. Use the steam clean function to easily clean the inside of the appliance. Refer to section
'Using the steam clean
function'
.
