StartingaConnectionManually
Youcanstartaconnectionmanuallyifthereismorethanoneconnectiontypesetonthedevice.
1. SelectStartSettingsConnectionstabConnections.
2. SelectManageexistingconnections.
3. Selectandholdthedesiredconnectiontype,thentapConnect.
DeletingaConnection
1. SelectStartSettingsConnectionstabConnections.
2. SelectManageexistingconnectionsintheMyISPsection.
3. Selectand holdontheconnectionyouwanttodelete,the nselecttheDeletecommand.
7.2UsingaWiFiConnection
WiFiiswirelessradiotechnologythatallowsyoutoaccessemail,theinternetandbroadband
multimediacontent.Whenthedeviceencountersahotspot(aplacewhere youcanaccessWiFi
networks)itcanthenconnecttothatnetworkwirelessly.Whilesomehotspotsarefree,themostrobust
publicWiFinetworksareprovidedbyprivateinternetserviceproviders(ISPs)orwirelesscarriers,and
usingthesenetworkswilltypicallyrequirepaymentofaconnectionfee.
NOTE:YoumayneedtoconsultyourISPbeforerunningthisutility.
IMPORTANT:TheWiFiconnectionisdisabledwhenthedeviceissynchronizingwithaPC.
TheWiFiconnectionandthe GSMconnectioncannotexistatthesametime.TheGSMconnectionwill
bedisabledautomaticallywhilehavingaWiFiconnection,andviceversa.
ConnectingtoaWiFiNetwork
1. SelectStartSettingsConnectionstabWirelessManager.
2. SelectthethirdbuttontoturnonWiFiconnection(unlessitalreadysays“On”).
3. Followthepromptstofinishrelatedsettings.WhenaWiFiconnect ionisactivated,the
icon
showsatthetopofthescreen.
4. IfyouwanttoswitchtoanotherWiFinetwork,selectStartSettingsConnection stabWiFi.
(Theprogram“NetworkCardswillchangeitsnameinto“WiFi”if theWiFinetworkisconnected
successfully.)
5. On theWireless
tab,youcanseetheconnectednetworkandotheravailablewirelessnetworks.
