 You must be connected to a Wi-Fi network before you can use the
Lend/Return Books function.

When present, the number that appears with the Lend/Return icon indicates
new activity within this feature.
 After launching the Lend/Return feature, a pop-up window appears. A number
behind
Return books indicates books expiring in 3 days or less. A number
behind
Check for offers indicates new offers pending.
Loan a Book
1. In the My Library screen, tap Lend/Return.
2. Tap
Lend books in the pop-up window.
3. Tap
next to a book that you want to lend,  tap Lend.
4. Tap in the email address entry field to enter the email address of your
recipient.
5. Tap in the
message window to enter a personal message to accompany
the media. The recipient will receive the message when they log into their
B&N account.
6. Tap
Lend Book.
7. The media will now be listed as ‘PENDING_LEND’, awaiting the
recipient’s acceptance or decline.
Return a Borrowed Book
1. In the My Library screen, tap Lend/Return.
2. Tap
Return books in the pop-up window.
3. Tap next to the borrowed book that you want to return,  tap Return.
Check for Offers
Use this function to check for book loan offers that you have not yet
accepted or declined.
1. In the
My Library screen, tap Lend/Return.
2. Tap
Check for offers in the pop-up window.
3. Tap
next to the offers you want to accept or decline, tap  Accept or
Decline accordingly.
 Use the Get Books feature to add the loaned book to your My Library
bookshelf.
 Declined books will be permanently removed from the Book Offers
screen.
