Adjusting/Replacing Anti-Tipper
WARNING
Anti-tippers MUST be attached at all times. Inasmuch as the anti-tippers are an option on this
wheelchair (you may order it with or without the anti-tippers), Invacare strongly recommends
ordering the anti-tippers as an additional safeguard for the wheelchair user.
Anti-tippers MUST be fully engaged. Ensure the release button of the anti-tipper fully protrudes
out of the hole in the anti-tipper socket.
Ensure both anti-tippers are adjusted to the same height.

Adjusting Anti-tipper
WARNING
When anti-tippers are used, anti-tippers MUST be adjusted to maintain a 1-1/2 to 2-inch (3.81 to
5.08 cm) clearance between the bottom of the anti-tipper wheels and the ground/ floor. This
spacing should always be checked whenever adjustments/changes are made to the wheelchair.
Failure to maintain proper spacing may result in the chair tipping over backward causing serious
injury or property damage.
1. Pressinthereleasebuttonthatsecurestheanti‐tipperwheelstotheanti‐tipperbar.
2. Adjusttheheightoftheanti‐tipperwheelstobetween1‐1/2and2‐inches(3.81to5.08cm)oftheground/floor.
3. RepeatSTEPS1‐2fortheoppositeanti‐tipper.
Replacing Anti-tipper
WARNING

3. Pressinthereleasebuttonontheanti‐tipperbarandinstall
theanti‐tipperwheelsontothenewanti‐tipperbar.
4. RepeatSTEPS1‐3fortheoppositeanti‐tipper.
5. Measurethedistancebetweenthebottomoftheanti‐tipperwheelsandthegroundfloor.
6. Ifnecessary,adjusttheheightoftheanti‐tippers.RefertoAdjustingAnti‐tipper
