1. Performoneofthefollowing:
•NonSuspensionFork‐Removetheboltandlocknutthatsecurethefrontcastortothefork.
•SuspensionFork‐Performthefollowingsteps:
i. Usingtwoallenwrenches,turninoppositedirectionsandremoveonemountingscrewfromthefork.
ii. Removethemountingscrew/threadedsleeveassemblythatsecuresthefront
castorandtwospacerstothefork.
2. Removefrontcastorandaxlespacersfromfork.
3. Performoneofthefollowing:
•NonSuspensionFork‐Installthenewcastor,bolt,locknutandaxlespacersontotheforkandsecurelytighten.
•SuspensionFork‐Performthefollowingsteps:
i. Determinethedesiredmountingholeforthecastor
installation.
ii. LineupthefrontcastorandtwospacerswiththemountingholeintheforkdeterminedinSTEPBi.
iii. Reinstallthemountingscrew/threadedsleeveassemblythroughthefork,frontcastorand twospacers.Referto
FIGURE 5.22forhardwareorientation.
iv. Reinstallthemounting screwintothethreadedsleeveandtightensecurely.
WARNING
Both front castors MUST be positioned to the same corresponding mounting hole, otherwise
injury or damage may occur.
4. RepeatSTEPS13fortheoppositecastorifnecessary.
NOTE:Ifreplacingfrontcastorswithadifferentsizethanwhatwasoriginallyonthewheelchair,thefrontcastorheightMUSTbe
adjustedtokeepthewheelchairframeparalleltothefloor.RefertoAdjustingFrontCastorHeight‐TransformerOnly
onpage 48.The
