Adjusting Center of Gravity (T-5/Paul Schulte Signature BB)
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 5.16.
1. Ifnecessary,removetheseatupholstery.RefertoReplacingAdjustableTensionSeatUpholstery
onpage 50 orReplacing
Screw‐OnSeatUpholstery.onpage 50.
2. Removethefourmountingscrews,covedspacers, washersandlocknutsthatsecurethetwobackrestmountingbrackets
tothebaseframe.
3. Securebackrestmountingbracketstothebaseframeinthedesiredmountingholesinthebackrestmountingbracket
andthemountingholesinthebaseframewithfour
mountingscrews,coved spacers,washersand locknuts.Tighten
securely.
4. Ifnecessary,installtheseatupholstery.RefertoReplacingAdjustableTensionSeatUpholstery
onpage 50orReplacing

1. Removetherearwheels.RefertoRemoving/InstallingRearWheels
onpage 32.
2. Torquetheaxlenuttoincrease/decreasethewheelbasewidth.
3. Countthenumberofthreadsshowingontheaxlebolt.
NOTE:Thenumberofthreadsshowingontheaxleboltshouldbeequalonbothsidesofthewheelchair.Otherwise,wheelchair
performancemaybeaffected.
4. RepeatSTEPS2‐3forthe
oppositeaxlenutandaxlebolt.
NOTE:Axleboltre movedfromaxletubeforclarity.Itisnotnecessarytoremovetheaxleboltforthisprocedure.
