Maintenance Safety Precautions
WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching hardware is
tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur.
CAUTION
DO NOT overtighten hardware attaching to the frame. This could cause damage to the frame
tubing.
Suggested Maintenance Procedures
1. Beforeusingyourwheelchair,makesureallnutsandboltsaretight.Checkallpartsfordamageorwearand replace.
Checkallpartsforproperadjustment.
2. Keepquick/quad‐releaseaxlesfreeofdirtandlinttoensurepositivelockingandproperoperation.RefertoAdjusting
Quick‐ReleaseAxlesonpage 32orAdjustingQuad‐ReleaseHandlesonpage 33.
WARNING
DO NOT use WD-40®, 3-in-1 oil®, or other penetrating lubricants on quick-release axles or
camber inserts. Otherwise, binding and/or damage to the wheelchair may occur.
3. Cleanquick‐releaseaxlesandcamberinsertsonceaweekwithaTeflon®lubricant.
