5.6CleaningandDisinfectionBetweenPatients
Cleaninganddisinfectionmustbeperformedbetweenpatientsandas
necessary.

–Onlyqualifiedpersonnelshouldperformcleaning
anddisinfectionoftheoxygenconcentratorand
accessoriesbetweenpatients.
Followtheseinstructionstoeliminatepossiblepathogen
exchangebetweenpatientsduetocontaminationof
componentsoraccessories.
1.Disposeofandreplaceallpatientsideaccessoriesnotsuitable
formultiplepatientuse,includingbutnotlimitedto:cannula
andoxygentubing.
2.CleanconcentratorandaccessoriesasdescribedinMaintenance.
3.Disinfectthesurfacesoftheconcentratorandaccessoriesusing
Clorox®4inOneDisinfectant&Sanitizerorsubstantially
equivalentproduct.

Iftheaccessories,suchasthecarrybag,areunableto
becleanedordisinfected,discardtheaccessoryand
replace.
4.PerformthetasksonPreventiveMaintenanceChecklist.
5.Beforerepackaginganddistributiontonewpatient,ensure
packagingcontentscontaintheconcentrator,battery,carrybag
withshoulderstraps,ACpoweradapter,ACpowercord,DC
powercable,labelsandusermanual.
