4.9AdjustingthePulseFlowSetting
CAUTION!
RiskofMinorInjuryorDiscomfort
Itisveryimportanttoselecttheprescribedoxygenflow
setting.Thiswillensureyouwillreceivethetherapeutic
amountofoxygenaccordingtoyourmedicalcondition:
–DONOTincreaseordecreasetheflowsettingunless
achangehasbeenprescribedbyyourphysicianor
therapist.
–Thetherapeuticeffectivenessoftheprescribedoxygen
flowsettingshouldbeperiodicallyreassessed.
–Useonlythelengthofcannulathatwasusedto
determinetheprescribedoxygenflowsetting.
–Thepulseflowsettingsofthisconcentratormightnot
correspondtocontinuousflowoxygen.
–Thesettingsofothermodelsorbrandsofoxygen
therapyequipmentdonotcorrespondtothesettings
ofthisconcentrator.
1.Withtheconcentratorrunning,presstheflowselectionbutton
Btoincreasethepulseflowsettingbyoneincrement.
2.Presstheflowselectionbuttonadditionaltimes,asneeded,until
yourprescribedflowsetting(P1toP4)isshownonthedisplay
screenC.
Theconcentratorhasfourpulseflowsettings.Whenthe
maximumpulseflowsettingP4isreached,thepulseflow
settingreturnstosettingP1withthenextbuttonpress.
Eachtimetheflowsettingischanged,anaudiblebeepwill
occurandthedisplayscreenbacklightwillturnonforfive
seconds.
Ifamessageotherthanthepulseflowsettingisshown
onthedisplayscreen,theadjustedpulseflowsettingwill
temporarilybedisplayedforfivesecondsafterpressingthe
flowselectionbutton.
Theconcentratorpulseflowsettingatpower-upwillbethe
sameflowsettingselectedthelasttimetheunitwasturned
off.
