4.1Location
Theconcentratorcanbeusedinahome,institution,vehicleorother
environmentsoutsidethehome.
WARNING!

Toavoidinjuryordamagefromairbornepollutants
and/orfumesandforoptimalperformance:
–Locateandpositiontheconcentratorinawell
ventilatedspacesothattheairintakeandtheair
exhaustopeningsarenotobstructed.
–NEVERblocktheairopeningsoftheconcentrator
orplaceitonasoftsurface,suchasabedorcouch,
wheretheairopeningmaybeblocked.
–Keeptheopeningsfreefromlint,hairandsimilar
foreignitems.
–Keepconcentratoratleast12in(30.5cm)awayfrom
walls,draperiesandfurniture.
–DONOTuseinpresenceofpollutants,smokeor
fumes,flammableanesthetics,cleaningagentsor
chemicalvapors.
–DONOTuseinacloset.
RefertoUsingtheCarryBaginUsagefordetailonthe
locationoftheairintakeandexhaustopenings.
4.2ConcentratorOperatingPosition
Whennotbeingworn,theconcentratorshouldbeoperatedinthe
uprightpositionandplacedonafirm,levelsurface.
Theconcentratorshouldbeinalocationwheretheaudible
signalcanbeheard.
4.3UsingtheCarryBag

Toavoidinjuryordamagefromdroppingthe
concentratororincorrectpositioningofthe
concentrator:
–Thecarrybagmustbeusedforportableoperation
oftheconcentrator.
–DONOTadjusttheshoulderstrapwhilecarryingthe
concentrator.
–Positionconcentratorsoexhaustventsaredirected
awayfromthebodyandcontrolpanelfacesupward.
–UseonlyInvacarecarrybag,modelPOC1–150.

Toavoidinjuryfromconcentratormalfunctioning:
–Ensureyouareabletoheartheaudiblesignalwarnings
whenusingthecarrybagasabackpackincasean
alarmconditionoccurs.
Thecarrybagcanbeconfiguredasamessengerbagusingone
shoulderstraporasabackpackusingtwoshoulderstraps.Thelength
oftheshoulderstrap(s)canbeadjustedtothedesiredposition.
