WARNING
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is
tightened securely. Otherwise, injury or damage could result.
Unfolding/Folding the Fold-Down Back
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoDetail“A”inFIGURE 5.1.
Folding
1. Disengagethereleasemechanismonthebackcanes.
2. Pullthehandlesdown.
Unfolding
WARNING
When unfolding the back, ensure all
occupant's and/or assistant’s body parts are
away from the folding mechanism. Otherwise,
pinching and injury may occur.
Make sure the release levers are securely locked
in place before using the transport chair.
1. Pulluponthetwobackcanesuntiltherelease
mechanismslockinplace.
NOTE:Therewillbeanaudibleclick.
2. Pullonthehandlestomakesurethebackislockedin
place.
Replacing Back Upholstery
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoDetail“B”inFIGURE 5.1.
1. Removethescrewsandwashersthatsecuretheexisting
backupholsterytothebackcanes.
2. Po sition newback upholsteryonback canes.
3. Securelytightenthenewbackupholsterytotheback
caneswiththescrewsandwashers.
Replacing Seat Upholstery
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoDetail“C”inFIGURE 5.1.
1. Removethescrewsthatsecuretheexistingseat
upholsterytothecrossbraces.
2. Removetheexistingseatupholsteryfromthe
crossbraces.
3. InstallthenewseatupholsterybyreversingSTEPS1‐2
