Designed to provide the highly mobile
worker with performance scanning
in an extremely compact and rugged
package, the SF61B easily integrates
with existing data capture workflows
and—with integrated Bluetooth
wireless—easily pairs with iOS, Android
and Windows Mobile smartphones and
tablets. With its unique form factor and
magnetic quick attach/release system,
workers can accomplish their data
collection tasks with more eciency,
safety and agility than ever before.
Traditional gun-shaped scanners weren’t
made for the worker on the go. To address
this, we designed the SF61B so that it can
be quickly accessed or securely stowed
away as needed. A magnetic quick-
disconnect system and variety of smart
accessories, like wrist straps and belt
loops, make it easy to rapidly access the
device when needed—and just as quick to
securely stow away when unencumbered
use of both hands is needed.
Despite its compact size, the SF61B packs
the same high performance 2D imagers
as our full-size handheld scanners. With
unmatched motion tolerance (up to 500
in/sec) and omni-directional reading
capability, the SF61B keeps up with your
workers on the go by delivering incredible
scan speed at any angle. The addition of
VESTA, our patented scanning algorithm,
increases read range when scanning
the most common 1D codes. Advanced
imaging capabilities—such as data parsing,
multi-code reading, and image/video
capture—are built-in and make SF61B an
even more flexible data capture tool.
The robust scanning performance of SF61B
is complemented with equally impressive
communication and battery performance.
An integrated Bluetooth Class 1 radio
enables wireless communication at
ranges up to 100 m (325 ft), and the
field-replaceable lithium-ion battery
lasts well beyond a full shift, even in the
most scan-intensive applications. The
SF61B oers performance characteristics
commonly found in full-size scanners, at
just a fraction of their size and weight.
Don’t mistake the SF61B’s small size
for fragility. It carries an IP65 rating
against liquid and solid particle ingress,
making it dust-tight and capable of
withstanding direct water spray-downs.
Like our SR61 ultra-rugged handheld
scanner, the SF61B can survive 26 drops
to concrete from a distance of 2 m (6.5
ft) over a wide operating temperature
range. This ruggedness, combined
with a standard three-year warranty,
results in decreased total operating
costs over the life of the device.
