Saving Configuration Changes
When you are done configuring the IF30, you may want to activate
your changes immediately or you may want to save the changes now
and activate them later. If you choose to activate the changes later,
they will become active the next time the IF30 is booted.
Note: If you made changes to RFID module settings, you need to
reboot the IF30 to activate those changes.
IF30 Configuration Files
Configuration File Description
Default This configuration file is the factory default
configuration. For help, see “Restoring the IF30 to
the Default Configuration” on page 66.
Current When you click
Submit Changes, the IF30
updates the current configuration file. The IF30
does not change the active configuration file. You
can see a list of pending changes when you click
Save/Discard Changes. Having separate files for
the current and active configurations lets you make
changes while the IF30 is running without
interrupting communication.
Active When you click
Save/Discard Changes > Save
Changes and Reboot, the IF30 copies the current
configuration file to the active configuration file.
The active configuration file is the file that the IF30
uses.
