Communication Equipment
You can access the access point’s system software
configuration menus locally through the unit’s DIAG port,
or remotely through a Telnet session or Web browser.
Local DIAG Port Access
For local access, you need the following:
" Third-party communications software terminal
emulation package with Y-modem capability (such as
PROCOMM PLUS by DataStorm Technologies, Inc.).
Install the program according to its user guide.
" PC (personal computer) station, which should meet
the requirements outlined in the user guide for the
terminal emulation program.
" Cable to connect the PC to the access point’s DIAG
port. The following chart lists cables.
