Maximum User Efficiency
The 386/33 MHz processor and options
for up to 8 MB of RAM speed through
even the most demanding applications so
the user doesn’t have to wait. Available
2.4 GHz radio with 1.6 Mbps of through-
put means faster response times.
“Intelligent” batteries mean no more
guessing when a battery needs a charge.
It’s not only powerful, but comfortable to
hold as well. At .571 Kg (20 ounces) the
small form factor, hour glass shape of the
6400 is designed to be comfortable in
small or large hands. Bi-symmetrical
design, optimized placement, and
differentiated coloring of critical keys are
all specific designs for speed and
efficiency during left or right handed use.
In addition, an optional pistol grip easily
attaches in seconds for users who prefer
“quick draw” scanning.

Familiar software features such as MS-
DOS 5.0, TCP/IP, VT/ANSI, and IBM
connectivity are built right in to make the
6400 easy to support with IS resources
that already know PCs. The latest in LiIon
battery technology means no more
worrying about special disposal proce-
dures. And the multiple 5 foot drop spec
and water sealed design means it won’t
be going back to “the shop” every time
someone drops it, knocks it off the
counter, or splashes water on it. The 6400
is ideal for industrial and warehouse
applications.
Flexibility required? Pick from batch, 900
MHz, or 2.4 GHz radio communication
options. Connect via terminal emulation
or client server applications over Ethernet,
or communicate through the standard
IrDA port. And select from a variety of
standard or special purpose bar code
scanners including long range and high
visibility.
