11. Use standard print on demand practices to print a serial number label that contains
the information you noted in Step 1, and attach the label to the terminal.
12. Close the terminal. For help, see the next procedure, “Closing the Terminal.”
Closing the Terminal
To close the terminal, you need the following tool:
#1 Phillips screwdriver
Torque screwdriver
To close the terminal
1. Connect the backup capacitor
assembly cable to the main
PCB.
2. Connect the scanner flex cable
to the connector located toward
the top of the main PCB.
The illustration shows the
scanner flex cable attached to
the connector toward the top of
the main PCB. However, if you
have a PDF 417 scan engine or
an E1022 linear imager, connect
the scanner flex cable to the
connector located toward the
bottom of the main PCB.

3. Carefully close the top and bottom covers. Make sure that the cables are not pinched
between the two covers or trapped in the battery contact opening.
4. Install the six Phillips screws in the bottom cover, and make sure you use the two
longest screws to secure the top of the terminal. Tighten the screws to 0.904 Nm
(8 in-lb).
5. Replace the battery pack.
