3. Remove the scan engine or E1022
linear imager assembly.
• For a standard scan engine or
PDF 417 scan engine, remove
the two screws holding the
scan engine assembly in place.
• For an E1022 linear imager,
remove the four screws
holding the E1022 linear
imager assembly in place.
4. Remove the scan engine or linear
imager assembly from the bottom
cover.
5. Turn the assembly over and
remove the antenna.

6. Install the new antenna.
• If you are installing an 802.11b antenna,
orient the antenna so that the antenna
cables face the bracket on the scan
engine or linear imager assembly. Make
sure that the cables align with the
channels on the bracket, and gently
press the antenna onto the bracket.

• If you are installing an OpenAir
antenna, orient the antenna so that the
antenna cable faces the bracket on the
scan engine or linear imager assembly.
Make sure that the cable aligns with the
channel on the bracket, and gently press
the antenna onto the bracket.
