Models CN4 and CN4e Compliance Insert
The users of this product are cautioned to use accessories and peripherals approved by Intermec Technologies Corporation. The
use of accessories other than those recommended, or changes to this product that are not approved by Intermec Technologies
Corporation, may void the compliance of this product and may result in the loss of the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Note: In the U.S.A., the EPA does not consider spent Li-ion batteries as hazardous waste.
Laser Compliance and Precaution
The CN4 is registered with the CDRH as a Class I LASER Product (21 CFR Subchapter J, Part 1040 with Laser Notice 50).
Note: There are no controls or adjustments provided for routine operation or maintenance of the CN4.
Laser and Imager Compliance and Precaution
This product complies with the following standards for laser and LED safety:
• IEC 60825-1 / EN 60825-1 - Class 1 (embedded laser component < 3 mW)

Caution: For use with Intermec battery pack Model(s) AB8, AB9, AB15, and AB16 only. For power supply, use
Intermec Model 074246 or AE13 (P/N 851-089-x03). Do not connect and charge the CN4 or CN4e if the
temperature is greater than 50°C (122°F). No user-serviceable parts.
Caution: The battery pack used with this product may ignite, create a chemical burn hazard, explode, or release
toxic materials if mistreated. Do not incinerate, disassemble, or heat above 100
°C (212°F). Do not short circuit;
may cause burns. Do not charge batteries in a temperature above 40°C (104°F). Keep away from children.
Charge only in or with Intermec Model(s) AC12, AD10, AD11, or AD12. Use of incorrect charger or battery
packs may present risk of fire or explosion. Promptly dispose of used battery pack according to the
instructions.
Li-ionLi-ion
This product contains or uses a lithium-ion (Li-ion) main battery. When the battery reaches the end of its useful
life, the spent battery should be disposed of by a qualified recycler or hazardous materials handler. Do not mix
this battery with the solid waste stream. Contact your Intermec Technologies Service Center for recycling or
disposal information.
Caution: There are no user serviceable parts inside the CN4. Use of controls or adjustments, or performances of
procedures other than those specified herein, may result in hazardous laser light exposure.
