And, as a Microsoft software component, the GPSID also provides
these benefits:
• Allows multiple applications to simultaneously access the GPS
data stream.
• Provides access to GPS data without requiring applications to
recognize and parse NMEA syntax.
Using the GPSID Installed on the CN4
To use the GPSID installed on your CN4, you need to configure the
GPSID settings.
To configure your GPSID settings
1 Tap Start > Settings > the System tab.
2 Tap External GPS. The GPS Settings screen appears.
3 On the Programs tab, select the COM port that you want your
programs to use to get GPS data from your CN4.
4 Tap the Hardware tab, and select these settings.
GPS hardware port: COM3
Baud rate: 57600
Note: COM1 and COM3 are reserved.
