Architects' and Engineers' Specifications:
The 5400 Series glassbreak sensors shall detect the shock
produced from breaking glass. The shock sensors can be
mounted to the frame or on the glass. The sensors use a
specially mounted piezo element to trigger a solid state circuit
into an alarm condition. The output loop opens and an LED
lights for 2 to 6 seconds. The output loop shall have a bi-
directional normally closed alarm loop. The detector shall have
a sensitivity adjustment to optimize performance at each
installation. Terminal blocks shall be provided for easy wire
installation. The sensor will be available as a two-wire battery
sensor, a four-wire externally powered (9-16 volts) sensor, and
a six-wire sensor with separate reed or tamper loop. A field
selectable latching LED feature shall be available on the
powered models. The sensor shall be installed with a double-
sided tape pad or screws.
